Abstract Submission - deadline 5 March 2021
CPIP welcomes submissions on any aspect of the management of children with cerebral palsy including original research, case studies, service improvement and audit. We particularly would like to encourage submissions that highlight multidisciplinary working for the improvement of care of children with CP.
Please limit your abstract to 200 words and email it to Guy Atherton or Rachel Rapson ([email protected], [email protected]), by 5th March 2021
We will notify you of the outcome of your submission after 22nd March 2021. Those selected for presentation will be invited to talk for 7 minutes with 3 minutes for questions.
The purpose of this meeting will be to examine the evidence, inform and update clinicians, share good practice, facilitate equity of care and identify areas for further research, and also look at the impact of Covid-19 has had.
Despite the shorter schedule, we still plan to examine what we have learned since 2010, review the current state of hip surveillance nationally and internationally as well as discuss funding to support a patient management system for cerebral palsy.
Additional issues such as why we consider this work as an Integrated Pathway rather than just hip surveillance, the importance of the MDT when implementing a Patient Management System and overcoming practical difficulties will also be covered.
We will of course reflect on how the Covid-19 pandemic impacted (positively or negatively) on all the above.
A full programme will be available in April 2021.
