The BACD executive committee has decided that the pre-conference dinner at the annual conference 2020 will now encompass a formal launch to celebrate the organisation becoming a charity. In addition, we plan to recognise the achievements of professionals working in paediatric disability in the UK, disabled young people and their families.

We plan to present awards, followed by some music and fun into the night. We will also celebrate graduates from the Sheffield Diploma course.

We need our membership to get involved so we invite you to nominate prize–winners for the following categories:

Inspiring young person in 2019 -  the person nominating is free to choose anyone who has done anything large or small that has made a difference to them in any personal way.

Inspiring parent, carer or sibling in 2019 - the person nominating is free to choose anyone who has done anything large or small that has made a difference to them in any personal way.

Inspiring professional in 2019 - the person nominating is free to choose anyone who has done anything large or small that has made a difference to them in any personal way.

Best photo or picture to capture ethos of BACD award 2019 - this is a free choice from the entrant.

There will also be a Lifetime Achievement Award as determined by a sub-group of the executive committee presented for outstanding contribution to BACD throughout their personal and/or professional life.
