Opportunities for career development fellowships webinar

This one-hour webinar included presentations from members of the BACD's Strategic Research Group and others with direct experience of supporting Fellows’ applications and those who run the BACD-Castang Fellowship programme. The webinar covered the following topics:

• The NIHR has recently extended its funding of career development fellowships for NHS and Social Care professionals, launching new schemes at pre-doctoral and post-doctoral level. The range of opportunities will be discussed, with a focus on how to know to know whether one of the Fellowship schemes is right for you.
• How the BACD SRG will support some applicants through the BACD-Castang Fellowship programme to make post-doctoral Fellowship applications to the first call for Senior Clinical and Practitioner Research Awards (SCPRA) that close 23 January 2024). 
• The call for 2024 BACD-Castang Fellowships will be launched – criteria and the application deadline (early 2024) will be confirmed and the Fellowship meeting dates for June 2024.
