NICE Disabled children and young people up to 25 with severe complex needs: integrated service delivery and organisation across health, social care and education

This draft clinical guideline is now out for consultation. As a stakeholder, BACD is invited to submit comments directly to NICE, as well as to the RCPCH Quality Improvement Committee response.

The consultation page has all the information and documents you need to review the draft clinical guideline.

NICE is keen for the following questions to be answered:

  1. Which areas will have the biggest impact on practice and be challenging to implement? Please say for whom and why.
  2. Would implementation of any of the draft recommendations have significant cost implications?
  3. What would help users overcome any challenges? (For example, existing practical resources or national initiatives, or examples of good practice.)
  4. The recommendations in this guideline were largely developed before the coronavirus pandemic. Please tell us if there are any particular issues relating to COVID-19 that we should take into account when finalising the guideline for publication.

To submit comments for inclusion in the BACD submission to NICE and RCPCH complete the form below and return to [email protected] by 9am, Monday 6 September. Please note that we can only accept submissions received on this form.

We are interested to hear from you even if you have no specific comments to make, and are happy with the consultation document, as this will enable us to feedback to RCPCH and NICE that we support the document.
