The BACD Education Group oversees the educational activities of the Academy, including the Annual Scientific Meeting; specialty session at RCPCH Annual Conference, National Study Days, Regional Meetings, Trainees’ Annual Meeting, The Neurodisability Community (TNC) webinars, and other educational events.

The Group will have representation from the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that the education provided is relevant to all BACD members. Representation from the BACD Strategic Research Group will be co-opted onto the Education Group. Paediatric trainees will be represented by the BACD Trainee Representatives and TNC leads. For each annual scientific meeting, once the theme has been determined, a call to the membership will seek interested parties who have a special interest in that topic to be co-opted onto the Group to help develop the programme with the Education Lead. Members the Education Group will be expected to assist with abstract scoring for both the ASM and the RCPCH conference. The Education Group will have a planning meeting (remotely) every 4-6 months.
