BACD is seeking candidates with experience of being involved in the organisation of large educational events, either locally or nationally, and have an interest in developing educational activities in childhood disability which are relevant to whole MDT, to apply for the role of Education Group Chair (role can be job-shared):
- 4 year term of office, max 2 terms
- Trustee of BACD; member of Executive Committee
- Open to all interested paediatricians and non-medical practitioners
Key Roles:
- Oversee education programmes for BACD
- Responsible for theme and devising programme for annual scientific meeting in conjunction with Education Committee and co-opted members
- Liaise with other specialty groups for the RCPCH annual conference in conjunction with paediatric members of the Group
- Attend quarterly BACD executive committee meetings (currently 2 in-person, 2 virtual)
The BACD Education Group oversees the educational activities of the Academy, including the Annual Scientific Meeting; specialty session at RCPCH Annual Conference, National Study Days, Regional Meetings, Trainees’ Annual Meeting, The Neurodisability Community (TNC) webinars, and other educational events.
