Elevated tone is a common problem in Children and Young People with Physical disability. Whilst national guidance from NICE and NHSE provides recommendations on the delivery of care for this population there is significant variation in local and regional arrangements in terms of which aspects of care are provided by which providers. The BACD and BPNA are aware that in many regions members are looking to map out pathways and agree standards for care.

We would like to bring together interested members to share their experiences, and to help shape our priorities for this work.

We are inviting members to an online round table discussion where experiences of mapping pathways will be shared. Beginning with an outline of pathways in the East of England and West Midlands, we will discuss the challenges of undertaking this mapping in practice.

Chairs:

  • Dr Joanna Coghill, BACD East of England Regional Rep
  • Dr Dan Lumsden, Secretary BPNA
  • Dr Jane Walter, BACD West Midlands Regional Rep
