For the first regional BACD event for a number of years, we aim for professionals across the region to meet and learn together about the services available in the area. 

The session is suitable for all members of the MDT who care for children with increased tone.

Provisional programme:

• The essential role of postural care in supporting children with cerebral palsy and spasticity Sarah Clayton (from Simple Stuff Works)

• Medical management of spasticity and when to consider tertiary referrals Dr Kumar (Paediatric Neurologist) 

• Upper limb Botox and post-Botox rehabilitation RMCH Upper limb team (Occupational Therapists) 

• Surgical interventions for tone management Mr Jonathan Ellenbogen (Neurosurgeon – Alder Hey)
