In 2026 the BACD annual scientific meeting is expanding to a 2 day event.

  • Day Two - In Person and Virtual - Conference focusing on Mental health and wellbeing of disabled children, young people, and their families - 5 CPD credits
    • Trainees' Network Meeting (8.00-9.00am) - a chance to meet and network with fellow trainees from across the country.
    • Paul Polani Lecture: The impact of language disorders on mental health and wellbeing - Prof Courtenay Norbury, University College London
    • Exeter peer support scheme supporting the mental health of parents of disabled children – Prof Chris Morris, University of Exeter
    • Mental health of children with complex physical disabilities - the importance of meaningful activity and participation - Annemarie Simms and Dr Ashley Liew, Evelina Children's Hospital
